Surveillance cameras captured an extraordinary incident at a Connecticut residence when a bear ventured indoors, pilfered a lasagna from the freezer, and made its exit through a window.
Helena Houlis, a resident of Barkhamsted, was alerted via her mobile phone that her refrigerator door was ajar, prompting her to review the footage from her Ring cameras.
The footage showed a bear casually strolling through the house, ultimately making its way to the kitchen, where it managed to open the freezer door.
The bear swiftly seized a lasagna from the freezer, using the open freezer door as a makeshift step to reach an open window.
The bear burglar then departed from the property, carrying its frozen pasta delicacy.
Houlis shared the sequence of videos on her Facebook account.
"We've encountered numerous bears over the years, but nothing quite like this," Houlis revealed to WVIT-TV.
