Security cameras at a gas station in British Columbia, Canada, captured an unexpected shoplifting incident, with an actual bear as the perpetrator.
Tipton Gas Bar, located in Lake Cowichan on Vancouver Island, had its cameras rolling as a black bear casually strolled into the store. The bear proceeded to grab a pack of gummy bears from a shelf and then made its exit.
The store's owner, Jay deGoesbriand, shared the peculiar experience, mentioning that the bear devoured the gummy bears in the parking lot.
"Mr. Bear then went out in the parking lot and ate it," said Jay deGoesbriand, who runs the store with his wife, Karen.
DeGoesbriand couldn't help but observe as the bear indulged in its unexpected treat.
"This little rascal had the audacity to sit at the end of my driveway, look at me, and eat it," he recounted to the Vancouver Sun.
Both Jay and Karen deGoesbriand stated that the bear's visit was entirely non-aggressive.
"He had quite the sweet tooth," Karen deGoesbriand shared. "I know it's a wild animal, but I just wanted to give it a hug. I thought it was absolutely incredible."
