Nearly 11-foot crocodile visits police station

Law enforcement in South Africa had to request additional support when they discovered their precinct besieged by a rather unconventional intruder – an almost 11-foot crocodile.

IPSS Search & Rescue, a charitable organization, reported that it received a plea for assistance on Wednesday evening from the Mandini, Kwazulu Natal branch of the South African Police Service. The officers were surprised to find a sizable crocodile lurking around their station.

"IPSS Search and Rescue frequently handles unusual situations, but last night's incident ranks among the most memorable," the rescue service remarked in a Facebook post.

In light of this unique predicament, they decided to reach out to a local individual, Ashton Musgrave, who possesses expertise in the safe capture of crocodiles.

Musgrave, in collaboration with the IPSS team, successfully apprehended the crocodile and securely loaded it into the rear of a vehicle.

The crocodile, measuring 10.8 feet in length, was later relocated to a wilderness area in the Hluhluwe region.
